Welcome to my Gallery.

I was brought up on the banks of the River Mersey on the doorstep of the famous seaport Liverpool. From an early age I was interested in the sea, my Grandfather was born in Norre Saltum near Aalborg, Denmark in 1890 and was working at sea from age 16. His father was a fisherman.

My own father had worked on the Tugs all his life, 34 years as a Captain with the Liverpool Screw Towing Company and later the Alexandra Towing Company before his retirement in 1982.

One Christmas aged fourteen years I received as a present a set of watercolours from my parents. What you see here is the result of a passion for tugboats and those watercolour paints.
